is it possible for governments to charge their citizens with interest rates over 6%, then it’s called unsustainable when the banks or the state need to pay that kind of rates. Would it not be fair to say any rate should not be allowed to exceed maybe 3%. This also means no bank should be entitled to charge a interest rate higher than they may be able to pay themself. Consider that they also are backed by the state, which mean they should be able to pay higher interest rates than ordinary people.

This is together with the money printing machine, tax system another way of stealing from the people. A better name is legalized theft.

The urge to save humanity as always a false front for the urge to rule.

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.

The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out, without regards to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Inevitably that man will come to the conclusion that the government is dishonest, insane and intolerable.

All government is against liberty.

A good politician is as unthinkable as an honest burglar.

An election is like an auction of advance sale of stolen goods.

For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and dead wrong.

HL Mencken 1880 - 1956

I have noticed that peak oil is real, we only have to look at the price on crude oil to understand something is going on and that something is oil is running out. If there was a surplus in supply the price would not go up the way the price has been moving the last decade. Something under the surface is pushing the price so high it has become the brake on the economy recover all over the world.

When the economy seem to recover a bit, oil price goes up, the market responds sending the economy in further turmoil as we can not afford the energy prices and the markets goes down again. This kind of automatic brake on the recovery will not go away until there is a huge new discovery really delivering oil to the market.

There is news all over in the media about new shell oil findings. Only one thing is missing, none of them is actually delivering anything at the moment and it will take some substantial time before anything from these wells will reach the market. In the meantime we are well in the downslope of existing oil supply for the market. It’s in this view we should pay attention to what happened yesterday in Argentine. From the BBC :

Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner has dismissed the threat of reprisals and claim the Energy is a vital resource, further stated "I'm the head of state, not a thug." (What definition say a head of a state may not be a thug ?) Then she announced the nationalisation of the Spanish YPF Repsol in Argentine, to applause on Monday at a meeting with her cabinet and provincial governors, saying energy was a "vital resource".

This is actually the first step on what is commonly considered the to be the Peak Oil Scenario. First governments start to be protective about the existing sources. Reject export on normal scale. Next step is around the corner and will be rationing. When that arrives, people will be in deep problem as from there on everything will escalate on a fast track. Just remember there will be no way back, and only down hill going forward. Just try to be as prepared you may. The future may be more nasty than you think. One thing is for sure, the next twenty years to come will not be anything like the past twenty years we lived.

“And I must admit that those adjustments constituting virtually all of the warming signal in the last 40 years is disconcerting. When “global warming” only shows up after the data are adjusted, one can understand why so many people are suspicious of the adjustments.”

Really anyone need to say anything more ? This say it all, and at the same time explains why the raw data is so difficult to get hands on.

From JoNova Baa Hambug:

Current historical knowledge indicates that this planet has gone from ice ages to warm periods on a regular basis.
In fact the ice core records show rapid warming periods of about 20,000 years followed by gradual cooling of about 100,000 years.

This is an indication of NET NEGATIVE FEEDBACK.

If the claims of net positive or net zero feedbacks are correct, that would mean the historical cycles will be broken. This is a massive claim that needs to be backed up by strong empirical evidence.
ANYONE GOT ANY?

someone may say it neither imposes or support any feedback theory. l as a matter of fact it does, because if there is any positive feedback the system would be racing away a long time ago. In the past there has been far higher concentration of CO2 than we have today, even if we quadruple the CO2. Besides this, there is sufficient evidence only 5% of the concentration is due to man.
